I'm a Loser, I Admit. | ||||||||||||||||
All Right. So there I was, feeling very sure of myself. I made a bet with a friend. I had a two weeks to do the impossible. Don't even ask what it was, I'm to ashamed to admit it. Anyway, I failed. Me! Fail! Yes, it was hard for me to believe too. Anyway, if I lost this bet, I had to learn the entire Marines Hymn by heart. ALL THREE VERSES!!! Well, I never go back on a bet. So, I studied it, learned it, sang it to my poor dad until he said that he was going to shoot me if I did stop calling him singing it. So, I figured that I should share what I've learned with the rest of the world. So, Moose, this is for you and all the Marines. Forgive me if I misspell a few words. I did try hard to get it right. Love ya'll. SEMPER FI. |

The Marines Hymn | ||||||||||||||||
From the Halls Of Montezuma, To the Shores of Tripoli, We will fight out country's battles, In the air, on land, and sea, First to fight for right and freedom, And to keep our honor clean, We are proud to claim the title of United States Marines Our flag's unfurled to every breeze, From dawn to setting sun, We have fought in every clime and place, Where we could take a gun, In the snow of far off northern lands, And in sunny tropic scenes, You will find us always on the job, The United States Marines Here's to health to you and our Corps, Which we are proud to serve, In many a strife we've fought for life, And never lost our nerve, If the Army and the Navy, Ever look on Heaven's scenes, They will find the streets are guarded by UNITED STATES MARINES |
